Sunroof not sitting right
Last night when closing my sunroof, I heard it skip a few on the drive cable. Now one corner sits low when the sunroof is shut. Anyone know a good way to correct this?
I greased it a few weeks ago to try to prevent this. I guess the previous owner let it go drier than I thought. |
Did you ever manage to resolve this? have a similar problem myself.

I was searching for an answer to my problem and this was the closest thread I found (albeit it's a blast from the past)
Mine has started to do the same. I've pulled the handle out and the usual cog inside there looks fine, the sunroof move quite happily which leads me to think it can only be the cables that have worn. Any suggestions on this front? Thanks! |

http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/...pszjbsjdxd.jpg I was bored.......... Sunroof out, getting the inner part to go back was a pain, it's very tight and doesn't slide off easily. Cables look fine, it felt quite stiff so I've spent quite a while with duck oil and just running it constantly backwards and forwards to ease it off. I'm going to recover both the inner sunroof liner and the headlining as they were loose and falling off. I'll keep the roof out until the cars painted methinks :) |
:lol::lol::lol: Nice going Duffy !:lol::lol::lol:
I like the i was bored bit, hope it sorts out for you :nod: :tup: |
It's not much help, in fact it's no help at all but a few years ago I opened my (stiff) roof accompanied by a click and mine now won't close fully.
Looking forward to the solution :nod: |
Take the lever off and close the sunroof properly and reseat the lever in the central position
