Suede Blues

Folks,

Not a motoring question, but this is as good a place as any to ask....:p

I have a Suede jacket upon which a little grease (butter) has found its way. :grr:

I tried talcum powder, and that did a fairly good job of getting most of the grease out, but there is a little more to go.

Anyone know of anything that really works well?

I was wondering whether dry shampoo would do the trick...

Anyone?

I think the honest answer is your jacket is done for :cryin:, time to purchase a new one?

My youngest daughter sat in a load of bugglegum in her school skirt. Being a bloke, i broke out the intake manifold and carb cleaner..:yikes:.. Worked a treat it did.

The dry powder approach seems to be the internet consensus, talc/corn starch / sweetener.

A soak in good old mild hand soap and a gentle rub should also help.
Good luck

Thanks chaps.... I'll try the soap tactic first then bring out the big guns and deploy the carb cleaner if that fails......
