Removing Front Hub
1 Attachment(s)
Hi Forum, I am trying to remove the front hubs from my Audi Coupe quattro (b2).
I've got the correct socket size for it, but the hub is just spinning. How do I stop the hub and driveshafts from spinning? Should I have loosened the bolt while the brakes were on? Attachment 11003 Thanks |
You should have loosened the bolt when the wheel was still on and on the deck. Will easily crack off with a nice long extension bar.

Thank you, thought this might have been the case!

Easy mistake first time, we all do some crackers.

You can put 2 wheel studs in and use a wheel brace or breaker bar type object to stop it rotating while you undo the hub nut.
Saves putting the wheel back on, lowering the car etc |

Buzzin, Been there done that:tup:, one thing is for sure, if you are going to work on your own car you are at some point going to f**k up, take it on the chin and accept it, it is still way better than putting it in to a garage and they f**k up and bill you for it. |
