I'll tell you how, it's the sheep syndrome.............they follow the flock.

To be an Audi person i always thought it meant you were an independent thinker to every one else. At least that's how it was to me years ago.

Would it not be cheaper to buy some sheet steel and a hammer! That's just mad

Price is probably something to do with the the inclusion of a log book with the BB49 body no prefix? I believe this was a Halewood built 'Twin Cam' saloon.

And probably worth upwards of £150,000 when straightened out, repainted and with running gear fitted. Mk 1's go for silly money in the Historic Rally world. :wierdo:

The 4 reasons fords are stupidly priced...

1. The belief its a British company (Il admit the Cortina was a very English car)
2. You will never convince the true Ford fan, that something else is better than a Ford
3. Supply and demand (Plenty of delusional fans out there that want them and most have rusted away to bad build quality=fewer good ones to go round, so people have to pay for them)
4. The old adage "The fool and his money are soon parted"
