I saw this today only minutes after it had happened just off J6 of the M56 near Hale.

What the pics don't show is the small red car it appeared to have t-boned - airbags everywhere. Couldn't say for sure what had happened but it looked an object lesson in modern car safety - the modern was nothing like as badly damaged as that
