What cars you owned
Probably a few threads on here like this, I managed to get my old laptop fired up and found a list I did a few years ago when I was with an ex with some cars, its come to over 80 cars and i'm not even that old and ain't listed all of them on there yet. :yikes:
some of them and there fates Blue escort mk4 - my first car Xr3 mk3 2 door - smashed up by my ex in the snow Silver audi gt - wish i'd kept the reg b* JCB Red Audi gt - pulled the handbrake up at 60 - that wrote that off down southend Escort estate 2 door - was made of filler and brakes failed at 30mph bent the shell above both doors Volvo turbo - about as good as a bmw m3 convertible Green audi gt - a birthday present from my old boss Blue coupe Quattro - up north with new owner Carlton 2 litre auto - genuine 33k from new one lady owner, I found at 50mph+ you could drop it into reverse spin up the back wheels drop it back into drive and carry on, cost the princely sum of £100 off flea bay, sold it on for £200 a year later Sierra cosworth - biggest mistake of my life, tho was lowered 120mm at the rear :rock: Astra sri - massive spec of engine used to spin up the front wheels at 140, now rotting in biggleswade in a garden Red xr3i - miss this like mad, something bent on shell used to shake between 60-90 so drove everywhere above 90 red mk3 xr3i - got ripped off badly, never drove it gave it away ex concours car White xr3i - rusted away so swapped the good bits onto the convertible Xr3i convertible - one car I actually sold on Red sierra - rolling shell I was going to use to reshell the costworth White mk2 Astra - cheap and cheerfull 4star powered car with the noisiest big ends ever :lol: Blue 5 door escort - couldn't jack it up as the jack used to end up inside as it was that rusty Audi coupe gt5s - still got this in the lockup Audi coupe 20v - sold on fleabay to someone in stevenage not sure its fate Rs Convertible - thanks to an ex this cost me around 1.3k of debt :grr: Passat Red - owned by my mum now Blue passat - owned by a s2forum member now, slightly remodelled front end, couldn't be assed to fix my boxing day land rover adventures so sold it Renault Clio 16v - sold to someone from bristol who blew it up Audi quattro sport 90 20v - sold to someone saying he'd restore it, turned out to be urquattrob who stripped it on returining home :grr::grr::grr: Mk1 polo - sold to an ex Red mondeo - sold to the guy that my ex cheated on me with :grr::grr: Red mk3 xr3i - scrapped Maroon mk3 Cavalier - blew this up on the way home from buying it for the engine, hit 140mph for the last time, blew up 10mins from home Audi s2 - now being turned into a track car in sheffield Vw passat 2litre blue - gone to pastures new Audi coupe quattro - owned for 2+ years still not gone and picked it up :yikes::yikes: escort estate diesel 2 door - sold to a mate only had 3 gears :lol: audi s2 convertible - sitting in the garage atm audi ur quattro - getting a respray audi 100 2.8 q avant - now in poland :D passat tdi saloon - now in poland :moon: audi 80 tdi avant s2 rep - after my mishap on the a1 now stripped and scrapped :wall: audi 90 10v quattro pearl white - rather not say audi coupe gt zermatt silver - stripped as too rusty audi coupe gt white x2 - same as above audi 90 quattro 10v titan gray - sold and now getting 20vt power audi coupe gt dark green - sold and stripped :sad: rover 1.6 saloon - bought for £50 new wing then sold for £450 red tdi - engine going into a coupe cavalier sri 2.0litre - sold to my ex who got hit by a van in it and let them go afterwards as it was there fault :wall: Still got a few pictures of these, its interesting to find out what people have had and whats happened to them. |

First car was 1986 Audi 80CL, given to me by a workmates to help me get down to Devon from Bristol in 2000 when all trains were slowed down/cancelled due to gauge corner cracking. Sold it in 2000. Bought 1992 Audi 100 2.3e quattro C4 saloon in 2003 and had for 1 year. Sold it and bought 1990 Mk2 Golf Driver with 2.0 TSR engine. Had that for 1 year then bought back my 80CL off eBay with 15 seconds to spare! Still got it. Bought 100 quattro avant in 2007 for daily commuting. Still got it. Got a B2 80 Sport very slowly being stripped. A couple of random Typ44s at a farm. Had T25 panel van for work, also A4 tdi avant for family wagon. Now just got T4 lwb Caravelle. Pretty boring really! All VAG cars though. |

Some good cars in there those lists though Loved that 80CD 5S that Coxy had especially and Groomus it seems you had a love affair with Alfasuds, my Grandad bought one brand new in 1974 a white 4 door GUB157N it seemed space age compared to NSU's we were used to and you could hear it coming a mile away - such a lovely exhaust note Bet no-one comes on this thread thats had an NSU though !! The driveway looked like a 1990s Audi Centre at the time. Favourite car of all of them? My current A6 2.7T. Worst was the then brand new Escort Finesse TDi. Shite in every way. I loved my first Orion Ghia Injection and second Escort XR3i as well, although they were shite.....My dad's Aluminium Silver A8 Sport was a bit of a beast as well.

1986 bmw 518i which I passed my test in! quality car! i want another one jet black mini which was a rotbox that I learned to weld on, it was like a patchwork quilt! rover 100 metro which had a coolling problem? citroen ax! I lost my temper on that welding it so I scrapped it! ford mondeo 1.6 diesel, it made my mind up about fords, I HATE THEM! H reg audi 80 1.9 tdi good car that was but it was a mess and ended up scrapping it M reg audi 80 1.9 tdi again a good car but the front end felt like it was on ice!!!?? here we go 1984 audi coupe gt, tatty but what a car! needed bits and bobs but was solid and ran mint! audi S2 coupe quattro! what can I say! its an animal but I havent got that connection with it if you know what i mean, probably because its taken all my money off me! and I had a mini city 1000cc on the side which I simply strapped a metro turbo on and off I went! great fun what a dump valve noise!! and I've now got the S2, I want a ur quattro to add to it!!! I'll have one shortly fingers crossed! |

In order from earliest, some run concurrently and some were given too me as MOT fails then fixed and sold on.
1987 1.3 Golf C. First car, also started me off in the right direction, Standard apart from some GTi alloys. 1988 8V Golf GTi. First proper car, nice colour [Jade met], 90 spec bumpers, poly-bushed, decent suspension, Jetex exhaust, Rally cam, K8N ect. Crashed heavily and repaired 3 times, I owned her for five years and covered over 80K miles. Eventually put back to standard and sold for a profit to a Muppet who totalled it within two weeks. Great car 1987 Scirroco 1.6 carb. Standard. Good fun 1990 16V Golf GTi. Standardish, Very quick!! 1989 Scirroco 1.6 auto. Standard and pants, free though. 1992 1.6 Golf Driver. Standard. 1987 Scirroco GTX. Poly-bushed, decent suspension, Cam, filter, exhaust ect. Totally stripped out in side!! Very light and chuck-able, awesome fun 1987 8V Golf GTi. Standard. 1996 Corrado VR6. Standard. Stunning car, I wrote it off. However I made a fortune from the insurance and salvage. 1991 Peugot 106 Diesel, not at all nice!! FREE!!! 1990 Corrado G60. LHD German spec import heavily modified in the farther land, 200 BHP, top spec Sachs+Eibach suspension, BBS spit rims, ect ect ect. VERY quick with awesome handling for a FWD. Put back to standard and sold for a profit after three years of my ownership. MUCH better than the VR6. 1986 Audi 80 Sport. Found abandoned and heavily vandalised in a lay by. Totally striped, raged about off road on weekends for about three years. 1990 Subaru legacy. Given to me by a mate then tested to destruction off road 1986 Golf 1.6 CL. Standard. 1990 8V Golf GTi. Standard bar Cam and 15" alloys. 1996 2.4 Transporter LWB. Still got this its my work wagon and daily driver. 1992 Vauxhall Astra 1.4, really foul!! FREE ALSO!!! 1991 2.3 10V Audi coupe. S2 front bumper, V6 half leather, ellipsoids and lowered 30mm. Still got this one, its the car that converted me from VW to Audi. Soon to be for sale????? 1990 Golf Syncro. Abandoned project, Made a fortune off the parts. 1990 S2. My currant project, which has gone from having a bit of a sort out too pretty much a complete rebuild. I plan on keeping this one long term as I want to enjoy all my hard work, plus its only a matter of time before these fantastic cars become true classics. Soon to be finished, finally. 1986 90 Q. bought Mum's Vauxhall Cavelier estate.... had it a few weeks then got draughted to a ship again so flew to Rio to meet it. Dad sold the car:tup::tup:
then in 1999 Dad gave me his Audi 100 2.2E since dealer trade in price was a piss take so I had it instead:D 2000 April I think ( could be 2001) a pal called me about a 100 S4 his mate had picked up... would I be interested:lol: had Suzi up until PeterB bought her off me...bought it back 361 days later, sold to Ben last year when the gearbox started playing up, now SteveT63 has her... WR quattro bought in 2004 I think,still got it 80 cabrio...found it on ebay, had it 3 months then traded it in for the S4 cabrio:rock: 90 quattro with Creag, went half each while Creag's coupe was sorted after it failed its MOT, once sorted I bought Creag's "half" still got it for now Helen has had since I met her A4 cabrio 2.5 tdi S3 VW Eos RS4 still got it |
