My (and Booty's Old 90q Sport 20V for sale

On Pistonheads for sale is a red 90 quattro Sport 20V at the moment. It looks very much like the one that was up for sale a few months back and I wasn't sure if it was mine and Booty's old car. Going by the mileage and pics on the advert, I am 99% certain this is indeed not only the same car for sale a few months back, but is indeed mine and Booty's old car. The reg no of our old car was H134 ENH, although there are no pics of the reg no to con firm. It now has full leather, although the ad states he still has the original (and therefore more desireable in my opinion) quattro script Jacquard Satin trim as well as the original Speedlines. A very nice car, if not as nice as Ben's (BW2309) black one which I also owned. It is up for £2590, which in my opinion is way too close to what Booty is asking for his far superior in every way Nogaro Blue S6 currently for sale also on Pistonheads (and on here). Still a very nice example if that is what you are looking for. Defo worth a good bit of haggling! I aquired it in May 2004 selling it on to Rich in Nov 2005 if it is H134. Any questions on the 90 quattro Sport 20V, feel free to PM me.

Is this the link?

Kenquattro 23-11-09 11:16 PM

Yep! Thanks for that! I still don't know how to do the links!

Booty 23-11-09 11:47 PM

Ah she rears her head again. I put the Powerflow on it which was de-catted. He also states he was at ADI .....wish I had seen her there!!

Kenquattro 23-11-09 11:51 PM

Yep, I never spotted it at ADI. Bodywork still looks good.

ChrisG 24-11-09 09:35 AM

neither did I and I had a good look around , including the car parks ...... I'd have remembered the number plate as well !!

BW2309 24-11-09 10:57 AM

At the VW Audi track day at CAstle Combe earlier in the year it was there, I parked behind it in J73. He wouldn't come speak to me though. Looked nice, except it had a leather interior (wrong!), blacked out lights and a cruise control stalk!

Looked a nice condition car though. Could have been easily put striaght! I wish I had more room and cash! I want them ALL!!!!!

Kenquattro 24-11-09 01:20 PM

I remember when I had the red one H134 ENH, the black one J73 GNH and also my black 90 quattro Sport (10V) F650 ROR all parked outside my parents. The neighbours must have thought I was mad. It was like a scene from 'Butterflies' getting them off the drive. My dad's Silver A8 Sport and my black A6 2.8 quattro comlpleted the collection. I remember one day looking at the 90s and thinking, "This is getting out of hand!". My dad used to say in his usual way (he is not known for holding back), "Why don't you just f++k them all off and buy one decent car?" You can imagine his relief when I sold them all off. You can also imagine his face when a few months later they were replaced by a B Plate blue Orion Ghia Injection and a red C Plate Escort XR3i! I just have my A6 now, but you never know.....

Kenquattro 24-11-09 01:47 PM

Here is a pic of H134 ENH in May 2004 when I picked it up from Feltham in Middlesex for £415. It was getting a few looks on the way back up to Liverpool. Probably due to the fact that the car towing the trailer was my old 90 Sport 20V FWD (wearing quattro badges) H751 FBD which looked identical to it.

pay attention I'll say this only vonze:ihih:

go to page you want to copy, i.e go to piston heads for example, got to page you want to look at, so once your looking at the page, go to the top of your screen to the web address, left click on it to highlight it in blue, now RIGHT CLICK to bring up a menu, left click on " copy".... now come back here or wherever you want to paste this page, open a "reply" post as you normally would so you get the black flashing line now right click again to bring up another menu and left click on PASTE.

it will bring up the web address, put any text if you want to add anything and the press SUBMIT as you normally do to post a reply up.

IF you have pasted a photo then your reply will show your photo, IF you have pasted writing then it will come up as your message.

try that, hope it works:ihih:

Kenquattro 24-11-09 03:52 PM

It looked a whole lot better as a standard car. The rear lights, clear indicators, leather seats and Aero alloys don't do it for me, I'm afraid. Good luck to the guy in getting £2500 for it. I'd be having a punt on Booty's S6 for the extra £500. A much better proposition, in my opinion.

Booty 30-11-09 07:41 PM

Why thank you Kenneth. Most noble of you. And bloody hell Amar why didn't you say you could flippin well plaster. I have a bare fireplace here that needs doing and two walls.
Well H134 ENH looks a tad tatty to me. Don't like the rear lights or the clear front indicators. The windscreen has been like that for years. But on a positive note he still has the Powerflow exhaust on it that i spent 350 quid on and the black metal bumper strips still look fine after I repainted them.
But sorry I just loved the standard car. Miss it too, :( she was a hoot.

Yep, that is more like it. Looks stunning in those pics.

David Small 30-11-09 07:52 PM

Yes that looks far more like it - that's how it should look thanks for posting Rich.

You know there's no competition between that and your S6 for the sake of £500. You'll get what you want for yours and deservedly so , but this guy won't.

Salgroom and Groomus SHOULD be doing this.... not me!!

Booty 30-11-09 09:22 PM

They deffo having her then Rich? You know Ken had a 10 valve sport in black and that sounded a million dollars. And I nearly bought a 10 valve sport in Blackpool in 1994 but the mileage put me off as it was 'only' 109k! How wrong could I have been. What happened to her anyway Ken??

I sold it to John881000 on here from up in Bradford back in May 2006. He still has it. That 10V, F650 ROR, had EVERY option available at the time, and is the only 90 in the last 20 years that I have seen/heard of, that was the same as F871 WNH, the 1988 NEC Motorshow car that my mate's dad bought in April 1990. That was the car that got me into Audis.

I still remember being literally speechless when I took it for a drive at The Ponderosa after you had done all the work, and fitted the exhaust. It went and sounded fantastic. It looked even better.

Ahhhhh, well looks wise at least. Mind you, fairly straightforward job that. Had to do the same on my old Golf.

quattrokid 30-11-09 11:14 PM

get the black 90 sport, tidy it up to your exacting standards and away you go:ihih::idea:

Amar 30-11-09 11:20 PM

you know wat rich...i really want it but the fact that its not a quattro really puts me off. i need power....rs2 power infact.....and its gotta be a quattro 90 20v sport...in nice condition, which steves audi is but....quattroo:confused:

quattrokid 30-11-09 11:22 PM

what about those 2 red's on pistonheads?

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1364131.htm

or

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1271352.htm

I aint an expert by a country mile... but these 2 look as if they have been looked after.

I saw the 1st on at ADI and liked it apart from that silly grill surround, but apart from that it looked tidy.

you on the other hand may rip it up for bog roll.

Amar 30-11-09 11:34 PM

us asian babes use bottled water actually. i do like the first 1 but its not a quattro en the second 1 i do like alot but again i dont think its worth 2500 n the seller aint budging. why did this shit have to happen to me :wall:

Kenquattro 30-11-09 11:59 PM

Ste Edwards' black fwd 90 Sport 20V takes the piss out of any of these 90s. It would be my second choice. First choice would be, as I have already said, Booty's Nogaro Blue S6 Avant. Far more special and superior in every way than the 90. No brainer in my opinion.

istoo 01-12-09 10:04 AM

funny you say that Ken, as i bought myself a urS4 avant last month. Again like the 90 hugely underrated, very good car and doesnt need TLC like the 90.

Has anyone actually bought any of the £2.5k 90's?
