Breaking 1981 audi 80 GL (taking all parts too ADI 10/10/09)

It pains me to do this but I'm breaking my 1981 audi 80 1.6 GL it's had/gonna need alot of welding underneath for it's MOT so rather than chucking more cash at it I've decided to bust it.

So...... another 1 goes to the big scrapyard in the sky but it's gonna help keep the other old'uns going. Anyway all parts available apart from windscreen & I think I've provisionally sold the doors & boot lid but I'll update in a bit if I have or not. Car has full electrics, electric windows central locking etc that work fine now as I fixed them using bits off another 1. It has a 4+E gearbox, the engines a bit tempramental when starting from cold but after a couple of minutes runs sound as a pound & its done 86000 miles. Interiors in very good condition no rips or tears slight sun bleaching to the top of the back seat nothing to bad (but who's hasn't??) the gold wheels that are on it in my build thread are gone now too, my bro robbed them for his golf. The cars getting completely stripped over the next couple of weeks ready to make room for the next one :D:tup: so if there's anything you need PM me or call me (Craig) on 07734532319

oh front wings are not very good, passenger sides pretty bad & drivers side OKish.

Cheers :moon:

My build threads here aswell if you want to have a lookie through at the car.......

I'm gonna be going to ADI on the 10th now & taking all the bits for the autojumble so if people want to put there name down for any bits & collect them from me at the show thats fine. :)

b2_sport 28-09-09 12:12 PM

Craig,

I do not want the front bumper now. I have been looking at the differences between facelift and pre-facelift, and I prefer the bumper that I have on my car at the moment. So if anyone else wants it...

Ye thats fine mate, did you still want the boot lifters?

b2_sport 28-09-09 12:37 PM

Yes still want boot lifters. My original ones did not work at all, I am using a temp one but it only marginally opens the boot because it is not the right lenght, Looks pretty cool but very impracticable. So as long as your lifters are working I deffo need them.

Hi mate, do you have an early style water temperature gauge that fits in the pod next to the fuel gauge. the early ones have a straight increment, where the later type from 1984 onwards have it curved, cheers Daz
