Don't wanna leave things till the last minute so I thought I'd get the ball rolling for a change!!! basically, I need this as a vector Image, can anyone assist? Free lifetime CA membership and a pair of stickers if anyone can??? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...y2-794x246.jpg |
Ive never done one, but am pretty handy with Photoshop, will have a go tomorrow unless anyone else is already an expert at them!

You mean somethin like this
Attachment 3087 Attachment 3088 dont know why i'm playin with this at 3am:wierdo: when i should be asleep:sleep: there is room for improvement as someone will probably demonstrate |
That's the kinda thing!!!!
If you've got 10 minutes spare to tidy up a few of the stray edges, then we have a winner! and can get a banner made up!! |
|
that's nearly it. Just thinking how difficult or easy it would be to get the gradients to blend in rather than appear as lines??
Not sure how gradients work with vector images. |
cant really get gradients due to colour limitations (only 24 colours allowed) with the vector image
so the fewer the colours in the original the better it works then u gotta sit there like a pillock colouring individual pixels in to try and get smoother edges |
Would a single grey background be easier to work with???
|
if you got one i can soon find out
|
The image file I have for the background is just the one with the gradient above.

nearly there but a tad sketchy on the edges. Basically, it needs to be able to be blown up to 3m x 1m and not have any rough edges or pixels. Obviously with vectors you don't get pixels though!
|
If you create a vector image (eps, PDF) through Illustrator something similar then you should be able to go up to any size without losing any quality! I know of a place I can probably get it printed (would have to get a cost though).
