Classic Audi sticker designs..

Does anyone have any thoughts/ideas on what font looks best?
Going to be getting 50 stickers made up initially. They're not going to cost much, probably no more than £2.50 with postage. Getting them done in mainly white but 10 of each in Black and Silver will be done.
(there will be a hyphen insterted between the 2 words don't worry!!

No.2 for me;)

Grizz 01-01-08 04:36 PM

No 2 would be the visually most succesful and effective one.

No 4 is more sexy..... bit like a sound instalation company.

Coxy 01-01-08 05:30 PM

For what it's worth No.2 and No.7 are my faves.:D

Booty 01-01-08 06:13 PM

Yeah I have to say No 2 and 7 are my favs also.

Grizz 01-01-08 06:54 PM

If you now ran a diagonal band of Audi racing colours from the 80's behind the WWW with the letters all in a single colour, that could look pretty hot too.

Sorry, no potatoshop skilss here ;)

are we going for www.classic-audi.co.uk OR www.Classic-Audi.co.uk???

Big C, big A, small C, small A.

I (personally) think having URLs with a mix looks daft, but that's just me...

I like No 2.

totally with you on that. It will be in small letters throughout, will have a hyphen and will more than likely be number 2!

graybum 02-01-08 10:34 AM

Yeah, probably No.2 for me as well, in all lower case. The manual for my 80 uses a serif font though, and it might be nice to recreationte the Audi literature? - I'll have a look tonight.

Personally I'd avoid using white vinyl, as I think it looks a bit cheap. I think silver, black, grey or even that semi-transparent that looks a bit like etched glass would be better.

And would they be cut in reverse, to be stuck inside a window?

Coxy 02-01-08 10:55 AM

White is the easiest to see, although my fave is that semi transparent etched glass style. subtle but not that easy to read.

They will be reverse cut for internal application.

randall977 02-01-08 12:02 PM

No.2 looks good, I like the sound of the Serif idea???

Why not on the outside? My van lettering was vinyl and stood up very well.

If you have it on the inside you may interfere with heated window elements etc..........

Just another tought (and not trying to be a pain in the bum, just constructive)

kerker21 02-01-08 12:37 PM

sticker

i think pimpy is on to a very good point my Q.O.C. sticker has ruined the top of my heated rear screen so i think outside is best and besides that i can then put one on the back of my van to and a bit of colour would look ace as my van is white after its been washed which never hapens till spring ,
john...

Coxy 02-01-08 02:21 PM

they can be either!! If you think external is better then they can be done that way.
I've got external stickers made by the same guys on my van and they're still as good as the day I stuck 'em on!

I quite like the logo at the top of the page personally.
Can the website address not just be added to the bottom of that.
i think the sticker would look quite smart with a bit of colour and the address could be in white underneath.
Hope I haven't thrown a spanner in the works/
Cheers
Chris

pimpdriver 02-01-08 10:07 PM

I'd go for "KISS" (keep it simple, stoopid), as some people have other stickers on their windows (e.g. my car has 500+bhp under the bonnet........)

How about using the 3M reflective sticky vinyl, which is silver in daylight, but reflective at night???

This is a proof of the final design that most people stated as their favourite.

Although if someone has the serif font that was used in early brochures to hand then please let me know!!

my feeling is towards all lower case.

amanda 02-01-08 10:17 PM
