I love it, but let me know what you think, not that i will Care:finger:

pimpdriver 01-05-09 01:02 PM

looks good, but I would probably have just gone 40mm.

I want to do my 80 by 40mm, on the stock 14" Ronals like you have done.

BryFlyinBy 01-05-09 01:13 PM

I can still see daylight under the car, get the stick back out and lower it some more!!:ihih:

20vcqdriver 01-05-09 01:28 PM

Thats a bit lower than mine, what springs have you used? Not a problem so long as there are no sleeping policeman humps to go over. Mine are 40mm H&R's and just clear the humps round here!! Unlike my 50mm lower Passat that has had the undertray ripped off loads of times. :wall:

Daveymaclad 01-05-09 01:33 PM

I think 40mm would have been enough personally, so it's lucky you don't care! I went the other route and got bigger alloys to fill the space!

SteveCat 01-05-09 01:37 PM

.

Im a 40mm man myself also.Have tried both on last car.

It does look cool though Dom

Fair play to your individuality mate:tup:

Emjay 01-05-09 01:54 PM

looks rather good Dom, it's the first 60mm drop I have seen. Let us know how she handles and any issues.

vag80 01-05-09 03:56 PM

That looks good

dandan 01-05-09 04:00 PM

lucky you it actually looks like a 60mm drop wish my 80 sat lower, anyone see it at breakfast club and think it could do with another 10mm at front and 20mm or 30mm at rear, micky said they sit slightly nose down for the aerodynamics???

poopcoupe 01-05-09 04:09 PM

I used G-Max springs from I think Northampton. I just been out in her and Im suprised that I still have a spine left! Its actually really good. I was originaly going for Spax springs that were £50 more but the guy at G-Max said I would need a hip replacement within 2 weeks!!LOL!! Really good ride with these and good value as well. Personally thinks she looks really cool, bit different. Next the wheels. Do we go micro?????? Or the other idea was to powder coat the ronals, colour?

moggies 01-05-09 05:58 PM

Looks great, slightly too low for me though. I would go for some new wheels or if you keep the ronals, just dont paint them orange.

PeterB 01-05-09 06:14 PM

Looks fithly low! I quite like that Poop.

pimpdriver 01-05-09 06:27 PM

powder coat the wheels either white or black

moggies 01-05-09 06:29 PM

Yes, white would look good.

poopcoupe 01-05-09 06:56 PM

Who's got one of those programs on the pc that can super-impose the white???

A bit of a shakey free hand fill in, but gives a bit of an idea.

poopcoupe 01-05-09 07:53 PM

Coxy 01-05-09 08:13 PM

That looks superb! Nice stance to it now!

moggies 01-05-09 09:00 PM

Bright, what did you have in mind? Not orange!!!?

poopcoupe 01-05-09 09:06 PM

The stuff you used for sticking tissue paper to gliders was pretty evil stuff as it was

dandan 03-05-09 10:38 PM

whoa whats with the dislike of orange wheels????

dicko 03-05-09 11:15 PM

Thats nice and low keep the wheels small lets see more!

BIGGYIN 04-05-09 01:00 PM

I lowered one of my previous 90q saloons(1985)
Looked good and handled well. The only troubles were speed ramps(lots in Merseyside)and when you opened your doors, remembering about high curb stones.
Yours looks mean,squat down.
Thinking of lowering my latest car.I,ll stick to 40mm,not brave enough to go lower.
