Gaz has a blue CQ and is currently deciding what wheels to put on.

There's been a lot of talk of which ones would work and which ones wouldn't.

Funnily enough though, orange Rials never came into the conversation, but hell, if you're gonna step outside the box, you may as well step out side the whole playing field and into the next county!!
Like most things in life, you don't know until you try it!

just gotta get some tyres and locking wheel nuts, ive lowered it the 60mm with the springs and shocks from coxy's 80cd. im currently doing battle with the sikaflex crap down the side of the body also thanks to sprig ive decided i might give graystons coil spring lowering clamps ago if i still doesnt look low enough when the wheels are on (i finally saw sense and gave up on the idea of chopping the springs) the lanzar heritage 4" 2ways are in the dash in place of the old units but i did a good job of cutting the old grill off the moulded original factory speakers and now you can't really tell ive changed them also gotta get the back seat in after ive finished faffing around with the rear shelf, ive done a fair to average job on the rear shelf, stealthing away the DBaudio Trex 6x9s, also fitted an inphase 601 amp...should be bloudy loud but clear aswell not like the days when i used to run 3 or 4 12" subs in my xantia lol the shame...was all about the bass in them days tho. once this is all done and car cleaned in and outside it will be finished, its no show car etc but itll look clean and different instead of all the mk1 golfs/ caddy's/ mk2 golfs you see.

dandan 13-04-09 12:59 AM

at the very least they are colour coded with the indicators

Coxy 13-04-09 07:04 AM

ya know, they might just work!

might take a while to get used to them, but they could look cool!

Emjay 13-04-09 09:15 AM

you'll certainly stand out in a crowd. I'd have to see them on the car I have to say. This could be a "marmite" thing.

Micky 13-04-09 09:29 AM

hummmmm put them on and have a long look at them on the car.might be fun to start with but you could always go back to silver later  lovely wheel anyway carn't go wrong which ever way you go:tup:

dandan 13-04-09 06:16 PM

the bloke did have a black set of mim 1900's with polished rim but they just looked to quiet, black and silver is too common these days. honest once ive dropped it another 20mm and got these wheels on i'll get a load of photos up, im after a spot in the calender, july please lol seeing as thats my birthday. when would i have to enter the photo? in june for july or during july for july??? (if you understand what im gibbering about?)

sprig 14-04-09 07:46 AM

Wheels look  I reckon the colour combo will work you know......

If you can get a pic of a wheel at the same angle as your car pic I can photoshop the wheels onto the car & see what they look like on.
