1993 Audi V8

A lot of car and not such a bad price from a dealer especially as it's fairly low mileage

quattrokid 16-03-09 10:51 PM

NO.... its not one of my collection!!

pity really as it looks a nice example :hmmm::ihih:

Fitzy 16-03-09 11:06 PM

i need this car in my life!

BW2309 17-03-09 07:32 AM

I want I want I want!

Coxy 17-03-09 07:55 AM

Either this or the burgundy/maroon colour with a nice cream leather interior!

After sleeping on this all night, the lure is greater now than it was then!
Especially with the FSH, and low mileage!

john johnson 17-03-09 07:58 AM

they normally have 6 figure mileage......go on and i'll have the wheels :p

Coxy 17-03-09 08:21 AM

Gonna be pretty hard to drive it with out the wheels!

Are they 16" BBS rims as standard on them or did some come with 17's?

reckon it would rather tasty with a set of BBS LM's on it!:D

john johnson 17-03-09 08:31 AM

Basil may correct me but 8' and the early ones were 15's and later ones 16's ......hence they get robbed.....sounds familiar :arf:
Such a shame really as they are a superb old barge

Yes, the Maroon would be well suited to the grey leather.

Still, right car, right engine, right milage, a little over-priced suggesting a p/ex would be needed, maybe.

Anyone live local? need someone to go sniff the interior for signs of Cigars !!

Coxy 17-03-09 09:11 AM

I sold the Ghia 3 weeks ago so have a few spare spondoolies!!
Although in light of the other pictures, info and paperwork associated with the 100, I've got a feeling it may go higher than I'd want to pay for it.
I'll watch the bidding anyway.

Well done sir, cant wait to see her after she's had the coxy beauty treatment,if i remember rightly thats a very quick and comfortable car:rock::tup:

darreno'd' 17-03-09 10:08 PM

Well done you bugger, I'd had my eye on this for a couple of weeks, and i was sure it wouldn't move that quick ! wrong ! seeing the orthopeadic surgeon tomorrow and i was going to decide after that. Would have fitted my auto need down to the ground.

Coxy 17-03-09 11:48 PM

Car is home safe although some minor teething issues which need to sorted before too long so have left her in Robs capable hands.

Hopefully nothing major!

The car oozes sex appeal like nothing else! Fully loaded and some!

Plans are 17" BBS LM's and coilovers.

john johnson 17-03-09 11:54 PM

You impressed then?

Coxy 17-03-09 11:56 PM

I'll tell you after I've been in a nice long drive in her!

Very very comfy! If petrol wasn't so god darn expensive I could use it as a daily!

john johnson 18-03-09 12:01 AM

It's about the newest audi I like , I'd have one after being driven around in roger galvins maroon one about ten years ago when I fell in love with that , think it was maroon!

cheers for that. May have trouble getting the Coilovers for it anyway. Where is the best place to source the Vogtland ot H&R springs in the UK?

Looking at the current rims which to be fair, are pretty tasty and have no kerb damage, I might just polish the outer lip and keep the rest as standard. Especially when weighing up the cost of a set of LM's with tyres which is around £1000 (and those are just the recreations!!)

Coxy 18-03-09 09:37 AM

Found a few H&R and Vogtland on the bay but all seem to be 35/40mm
although that maybe enough if I'm keeping the standard shocks anyway.

I'd highly recommend speaking to Darren down at G-Werks about what he can do on suspension.. he has very good contacts with KW (Wietec), especially as the importers own car is currently sat in G-Werks :)

My 5 x 112 BBS E50's came off a V8.......

Coxy 18-03-09 01:35 PM

won't be going down any route at the moment apart from maybe the legal one.
Initial prognosis is that No.2 is shot. Only show 25psi, where as the rest are 140-145psi.
Could be knackered piston ring, holed piston, or cracked head.
So much for buying off a dealer!
Won't say much on here just in case he doesn't play ball, but he soon agreed to knock money off after a phone call. Seems he may have been aware that there was a problem initially.

Such a shame as the car is in superb condition, and the interior is lush!

john johnson 18-03-09 01:59 PM

bollocks...oops sorry! :nono:

pimpdriver 18-03-09 02:51 PM
