filter
:yikes::nod: just found out there is a Pressure Accumulator for petrol has any one had trouble with these thing before
|
They can go faulty Arthur, what is happening ?
ruud is perhaps a good man to ask about getting a new one, he is very helpful. |
the car keeps cutting out and as if its running out of petrol had to have it recovered yesterday as it wouldn't start at all so its just sat here till a new fuel pump arrives because when you turn ignition on get no buzzing from pump
|
It won't be the accumulator.
It's only used on old fuel injection systems (CIS) and is for stabilising the fuel pressure delivery |
Did you ever check the filter in the fuel tank Arthur ? If not do so, there could be a load of anything stuck to and in it.

hi Bruce yes I did that same week it was clear

it will be old now to |
yes I thought of that any one got a spare
|

Just to make it work incase it's not the fuel pump |
not to worry got fuel pump and relay is on its way I ordered the two to gatherer just in case it was both I will have spares of one or the other lol
|
I bought a few relays they said would fit but none did
So beware they come with 2 big pins which won't fit the fuse box |
this one is coming from Germany does that make any difference
|
I am sure if it does not fit they will take it back
Should be fine |
well after looking at the Audi I have found the faults one the relay is u/s two the fuel pump has a intermittent fault so while I am waiting for the relay I will put the new pump on and the its just a small matter of putting the new relay in (hope all goes well )
|
well just to let every one know the car is up and running and thank you for all your help THANKS
|
Well done Arthur !
