EXIP Alloys As New Stunning **NOW SOLD**

Hi All

some of you may be aware that I have just got my car back on the road so treated my self to a set of exip wheels, got them fully refurbished in a pewter silver. unfortunatly I forgot to check fitment before going to the expense and it now appears my front stub axel is too big and would require a substantial spacer so they are up for grabs.

The refurb was a full chemical strip followed by a sandblast and then went through the paint tracks and ovens.
as you can see the quality is second to none.

The wheels are:

15x7
ET38
4x108

they have a centre bore currently of 57.1 so ideal for the 4 stud audi's out there and can be opened by a machine shop to the 63.4 needed for fords ect.

They have a lovely dish to them and are a timeless retro design.

All I want back for them is what they owe so they are up for grabs at £275 ono

if you need any more info let me know

Regards

Ben

Hi Ben will they fit a 85 GT Coupe type 85, running 14" ronals at mo?

benlg81 18-02-09 05:29 PM

hi

i think that was around the switch year, from 4x100 to 4x108

my wheels are 4x108 if you have any codes off the back of your current wheels i may be able to tell from that,

Cheers

Ben

If it's got the later bumpers and sill covers, (eg same body bumpers as a coupe quattro) then it'll be 4x108...

(This shape)..

Only 5 cylinder cars were 4x108 on big bumper models.

If they are genuine audi ronals you should find the offset and PCD stamped on the inside of the rim so you could verify by taking the wheel off.

I would suspect you are on 4 x 108 judging by the details of your coupe

benlg81 19-02-09 09:49 PM

i am based in dudley west midlands and the wheels are a 4x108 so perfect for everyone sofar.

I think it was me that told the guy to post the wheels on here, I spotted them on retro rides.

Go on Coxy, you know you want them. And just down the road too!!!!

But not daily driver material for Lexi though......

Hi Ben, welcome to the forum. Beautiful wheels. What did they come off of, and what were you going to put them on before you realized the fitment issue?

Ben can you answer my original question? What did the EXIP's come off of, and what were you unable to mount them on.

Thanx.

benlg81 01-03-09 03:02 PM

sorry mate i though i replied.

they came off an audi as they are a 4x108 direct bore 57.1

i was unable to fit them to my 924 as the stub axel is too long and wide

Nice, which model Audi? Any pictures of them on it. That would be Grail like. Cheers
