in the west midlands aswell:yikes:
|
Was seriously considering this car when it was on sale a year ago. Absolutely mint considering it was used as a hillclimb car as well as a road car.
|
If only I hadn't bought those f****** HBOS shares !
|
Now, just to through my hat into the ring, I'd say that was a tad overpriced. Granted it's well sorted....but 35 bags of sand.....come on!!
|
i thought that was cheap?! i thought these go for nearly double this price?! im sure i saw one on ebay? or might have been pistonheads gaian for £75,000, tornado red aswell? any1 know which 1 im talkin about

I agree with Booty regarding the price. In fact unless it was a genuine Sport quattro, I wouldn't want a recreation at any price, never mind £35K! Each to their own and all that, but I prefer proper unmodified/unmessed with genuine quattros. Roger Galvin at the quattro Workshop was selling the last UK 20V RR in Pearl White for £30K recently (he may still have it for sale) and that in my book has got to be a more attractive buy. It is the same with all these recreation MK1 and Mk2 Escort Mexicos and RS2000s for daft money. The genuine Sport quattro that Phil Short aquired via AM cars a few years back was up for £40K. Seems a bargain in comparison. Modified cars are always very difficult to value. The proof will be in the pudding if it sells.

Personally I've always liked this car.
IMO these dialynx cars look much better than the proper ones. Probably its the rake of the window which makers them look meaner, whereas the originals with their upright windows look a little like "noddy cars". (!!) as an investment, not so good, but I'd want to use it- but if i wanted something to polish and admire while it stayed in the garage I'd be looking at the 20v roger had for sale or an original Sport, but never EVER take it out  |
I'd rather buy this
http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=...wtopic&t=75209 and buy this with the change http://www.classic-audi.co.uk/forum/...ead.php?t=3666 |

Yeh, have to say Roger Galvin's E Plate genuine Sport quattro in Tornado Red is pure automotive porn. Does anybody know the whereabouts of the original 6 UK Sport quattros?

I do know one of the original 6 UK Sports is owned by a lady in the Borders with a triple barrel'd name. It's a green one (Malacite) I think that's how you spell it . |
