1981 C2 windscreen
 

Does anyone know where I might get a windscreen for our C2 100? The exisitng one is delaminating, and I would like to replace it when we have some bodywork done in March...

If you want a new one ring up pilkington they will make you one they still have the moulds :tup:

Thanks Micky, very grateful to you. I know that there is one in southern Germany, but they (understandably) wont "post" it. Collection only. Not a problem, but the cost......

If it is anything like getting a new screen for my '82 coupe type 81 it was easy, most places could get it. The rubber..... that was a different matter.

Thanks Kizracingcouk, At first Autoglass said that they would fit one - and after turning up with totally the wrong screen, said they could not source one at all. The screen on our C2 is bonded, which in itself may give another issue - the clips to hold the trim in, which are bound to be persihed....

What colour of glass do you need?

Hi Ruud - just the same as we have, clear - no colour band. Mind you, the one that we have has 3-4 delaminating "moons" in it.....

Ur quattro windscreen rubbers still around from audi tradition iirc.

Hi Jack1, It's a 1981 4-door saloon - left-hand-drive and German CS spec. It has the basic WB engine (carb). Originally registered in Esslingen then Stuttgart and then Liverpool when my wife brought it back to the UK. She has owned it for about 25 years according to the V5, but that's another story. We'll be at the NEC again on the 5/6th March.....

Yes Jack1, you are right - it is Indiana Red with a grey interior / brown dash etc. We had to have the seats re-covered as the old material had persihed in the sun. Where is the T43 meet in June? We plan to take it to Flookburgh in late July and will be at the NEC in March and November (?).

Thanks Ruud, if it might be available - do you have any idea on price? Ideally, I would need it by early March. There is a guy in the UK who can get one made in 6-8 weeks, the issue might be collection from Holland? Thoughts?
