Mine was a 1984 A Plate Ford Orion Ghia Injection in Caspian Blue metallic. It was shite but I loved it!

1978 MGB GT in Russett Brown ( BL flying shite ). Drank oil as much as petrol and was held together by the tin worms joining hands:yikes:

Mine was an Austin 1300 automatic. Bought for £30 with 6 weeks tax and MOT, two rotting wings, 1 working headligh and a subframe about to drop.

Sold for £45 6 weeks later. The only car I have ever made a profit on :D

First car I bought was a 1979 950 Mk 1 Fiesta in Beige, was known as the diarrhea mobile then at the end of its life as the f$$ing piece of s$%t.... as it was always breaking down :grr:

3500s, quality, that mate. Not just the humdrum 3500! My dad had a J Reg 2000 TC when I was a very young child. I was gutted when it made way for his S Reg MK2 Capri ......1.6L! Even back in the late 70s as a child the Capri seemed shite. Reliable as a wood burning stove, though, to be fair. At that time my brother-in-law, then my sister's boyfriend had a succession of RS 1800, RS Mexico MK2 and several RS 2000 Mk2s. They seemed really fast and flash at the time!

I learnt to drive in my grandads 2000 tc, complete with centre rev counter and sliding bar type speedo, ktt385e, marine drive in woolacombe is responsible for many underage driving lessons.

Mums 1989 Astra gl, First car I brought Audi 80 2.0e auto f reg brought for £100 6 years ago owned 6 months then brought L reg 80 sport 16v. then Vauxhall Omega, golf mk4 GTtdi, toyota mr2, astra GTE, Audi coupe x 2 Now have 2001 Audi A4 se tdi. Still have coupe and gave mk4 golf to my fiancee!! 10 cars in 6 years not bad lol

I had a mk2 Escort RS2000 as a first car too, it was black, 50,000 miles, no rust! Great car. Be worth a fortune now.

Just kidding. I had a 1979 "T" reg 2 door Allegro 1300 in satsuma orange. Not a bad car really! Scrapped due to rust.

The scary thing is its not the worst car ive had... not by a long shot!

Mine was a 1955 Daimler Conquest Century, 2 i/2 ltr straight 6 with a Wilson epicyclic gearbox and a fluid flywheel. Called a century 'cos it would do a ton. I also remember it had full harness seat belts, this at a time when they wern't fitted as standard.

well like nigel my first car back in 1976 was a mk 1 ford escort mexico in which i had 3 engine and gearboxs, thay where a 2000cc with twin webers with the 5 speed box from a writ off new sierra, a lotus twin cam engine with a 4 speed box ,engine cast of the lotus twin cams where made at the time in cambrain casting in cwmbach aberdare, and the engine in the escort was the 1600 cc pushrod engine with webbers, crazy days, then went on to a 1305cc cooper s engine which was very fast with straightcut box with l s d jack knight i do believe, i wish i had all that today now some moneys worth

Mine was a V Reg Vauxhall Viva £1400 in blue, bought 1982 on my Dad's orders after passing my test first time the year before. I do have a picture somewhere, but i have big 80's hair and i am wearing combat shorts, so will not be making an appearance here :yikes:

I had a 2 door V reg beige mark 2 escort 1100cc with heavily fillered rear arches,i also fitted a massive rear jack up kit to stop the 13" super slot alloys with wide tyres from rubbing the palmed in filler.it had the rally giant spot lights x 4 on flimsey little brackets an wired straight from the head light loom twisted wires together and they vibrated up and down when driven,couldn't see a thing on high beam.and finally the plastic gear change skull with red eyes??? what a plonker but thought it was the mutts at the time.

1979 (T) Ford Fiesta Mk1 1.1 Ghia.
It was a shed when i bought it for £300. Insurance was £1000.
Got it going well and then took of on a mini roundabout and stoved it into the back of a Austin Montego.

Might still be on the road. GLT 421T.
