Metering Unit Replacement - HELP !!!!!

My tame mechanic has advised me that my 'delicate' metering unit has now had it's last 'tweak' and that I should seek a replacement.

0438 100 125 is the Bosch part number that I can identify.

In the absence of a direct numeric match, what are my options ?

She's off the road at the moment because she simply won't idle and all attempts to re-animate her have failed.

Refurbishment?

There are a few threads recently, dealing with K-jet oriented injection, with metering head problems.

You don't mention what vehicle, or symptoms.
There's many a 'tame' mechanic foxed by older injection, and several have suggested expensive replacement parts where some system knowledge and diagnosis has been needed.

I've some good kv metering heads I bought from booty a while back if you need one
PPC magazine has run features about k jet a few issues back
Interesting read and shows how basic and simple they are once you get to looking properly

I have 1 matching the numbers which I removed fully working at the time

Am in discussion with a senior member regards a potential replacement.

Please, everybody, don't rule me out for any advice, etc. just yet.

It might be time to discuss one of your metering heads (if suitable). My (hoped for) replacement part from another member has not materialised.

What issue are you having, exactly?
Failure to idle may not be down to the metering head. There's sufficient other bits which have an effect, also

audicoupeparts 22-08-15 10:07 PM

Metering head

Pm me
I have one left

jameshbond007 07-09-15 09:20 PM

Do you still have the metering head ? I thought I'd found one, from another member, but no sign of it yet :(
