Oh how i miss that car, but £17.5k in the garage was a hell of a lot of money, so i decided to downsize but havent been able to find anything since last April..........

Loving Panda's shot of the early one.I wish I'd been born 10 years younger and had seen the 60's.

These earlier 911/2 have something about them I think.

And theyre not Poxy,Pandjob!!:yikes::yikes::nono::yikes::yikes:

Liking F911 NTS too! A 3.2 with the Turbo spoiler Im guessing?? Beautiful colour....

Steve

Rav 15-01-09 05:49 PM

[Anorak on] 3.2 Carrera with a Carerra spoiler. The turbo spoiler was even bigger with upturned rubber sections at the end.....[Anorak off].

I spent over 10 years with Porsches - Time for a change.

4v6 15-01-09 05:52 PM

Theres a B reg one of these sitting on the carpark on the local trading estate, hasnt moved for ages, wonder whats up with it?

Rav 15-01-09 05:56 PM

As always 4v6 - Please find out and let us know.
Rust is these cars usual enemy and very costly to fix. New Front wings are £900 + vat each.
I spent £5k on mine in the year i had it......

Wife wasnt happy......

Puglife 15-01-09 07:41 PM

friends dad used to own a 911 turbo.... tuned to 560 scary galloping ponies... lethal in any conditions other than dry and even then it was a handfull...

Oh dear I've just wet me pants. Gorgeous the early one the rims make the car. Mind you the one Rav had is 'kin lovely' too. Steven Davies of the 'Slowly Sideways Boys ' has Toivenens Rothmans Works 911, straight through exhausts and to hear it is to behold I tell ya. Quatties sound special but in the same, but different if ya get me drift, vain his 911 sounds awesome, just awesome.

Coxy 15-01-09 09:42 PM

a timeless classic! Love 'em!

There's 3 in me unit for storage so get to ogle on a regular basis!

Lovely, my favourite rubber bumper 911 and in the best colour IMO.

Very pretty car, along with Rav's past one. The early one has the same wheels as the Audi 100 in Retro Rides...I really like those wheels! :D

If anyone wants a nice glossy oversize A3 poster of the Audi 100 that was in Retro Rides let me know and I'll pop one in the post to ya!

My unit walls need pictures!!

and you know my addy!

86audicoupe 16-01-09 12:00 AM

Haha, thought you'd be the first to ask! Yeah, got your addy so will get one in the post to ya. I've tweaked the colour a bit so it's a bit more contrasty, it's better than the original in the magazine (IMO)!

If there's any other photos you've taken you fancy as posters, e-mail them over - you've got my e-mail address.

Super nice!
I was close to getting a 911 a few years back, and was very tempted again 'in-between' quattro's. I know where my heart lie's though.

Trouble is you almost could, couldn't you. There are a timeless classic with a sound to die for.

Absolutely Rich. And a good one shares that 'hewn from solid' feel with that of the quattro, which very few other cars seem to have.
