Willbo,
my wife says I'm NOT interested in this.............
mine is B933GTF
This must have come from Michael Moore Autos in Bracknell, probably January 1985
Wasn't owned by them was it - as their demo was white and mine was one of the first they had actually sold.

Was going to send you a pm but its blocked.

Yeh I think it was theirs. I am only the second owner of the car. I'll check tomorrow and let you know. I think I'll keep the car for now :nod:

I think I've sorted my pm now. Could you give it a go. Thanks

Been there, done that... Worth every penny...

Do what most men are crap at, (I'm the world's worst)... Smile, be nice, buy the neckless, maybe even a dinner (assuming, kids, dogs, cats, ferrets etc are accommodated) then go for it...

You'll be fire-proof....:fire::fire::fire:

We hope:ihih:

Hi
The car was not their demo. :shake:
It was regestered on 13 Feb 1985 and was owned originaly by a company in Henley-On-Thames and has only been owned by me and another since then.
It's nice to know that ther is another car still around that is of the same age. Maybe nice to get a photo of them both together sometime.:tup:

ChrisG 31-12-08 12:49 PM

Thanks for that.
Mine was actually registered on 11th February, I couldn't pick it up on the appointed day as there had been about 4" snow and they couldn't get any cars cleaned up !
I'll look out a suitable photo, and yes photo together would be good !

Ah, so it was yours that was in VW Audi mag some years ago on a buying s/hand feature? When I saw '931' on e-bay a few months back I thought it was the VW Audi mag one - not that I've seen the article for some years! Funny they should both survive. Too many (B2's) have already gone, and even some good ones, like that X plate CD. This forum proves there is still plenty of interest in these fine machines. Cheers.

ChrisG 31-12-08 02:10 PM

Yes it featured in several articles and a comparison with a 1986 'C' reg 1.8 quattro I ran at the same time for about 15 months.

Willbo 31-12-08 04:03 PM

Fantastic. I. or I mean the car has a long lost brother.:nod::nod:

I'm definately going to keep it now  and carry on with my original plans to restore it :tup:

So have you owned yours from new then?

quattrokid 31-12-08 05:35 PM

Roger Galvin had an 80 sport in his workshops under wraps.

ChrisG 31-12-08 06:44 PM

Well if you are keeping it I will not have to buy her the necklace :)

Yes bought it new, about 8 or 9 other Audis have come and gone but always kept the Sport.
It has a sunroof :) and power steering:tup:
Also needing some tlc that it's about to get.
It was rear ended at about 2 years old and needed a new rear panel and rear wing. This was not done as well as I would have liked ( suppose they didn' t expect it to be around after another 20 years .....)
So .... some rot is being cut out - rear seam, edge of boot floor/bottom rear wing joint--
and it also needs new ball joints, track rod ends, cam belt, a thorough service.
Has 111 000 miles on it and full service records receipts etc etc.

Great fun to drive. Seriously under rated.
