I have to declare there's only one brand for me, it's not Audi...

Well, been here for a few months and its the best forum Ive had the pleasure of being with.

Im posting this to share my love of the Lancia marque.

My first (legal) car was a Fiat Strada 105TC,and always loved the twin cam rorty sound combined with the pull!

I got to about 27yo and wanted my first integrale, but didnt have the correct amount of Green Queens at the time. So,given that I always loved the Fiat Croma drive,I bought a Thema. This was an ex Mike Spence Motorsport car.It had belonged to Richard Thorne, well known in Lancia and Morgan historic events and a personal long term pal of mine. www.rtcc.co.uk

So,pricey though it was for what it was,I bought a rare Davis Blue Thema 8v Turbo. This came with the 8v integrale wheels,Konis, and an adjustable bleed valve letting the Turbo run 1.1 bar.

Apologies for no digital pics but same as this vehicle bar the wheels-:

After an oil cooler hose burst between Plymouth and my home in Surrey the 8v had to be replaced by a rarer Crystal Green 16vTurbo heheeeee

After a few months this torquesteer and increase in cash allowed me to choose not my favourite, but an,integrale,of a limited run.I went to Richard Thorne and purchased an Evo Verde York.

She was stolen from outside a nightclub called Back2Basics in Leeds in 1999 and I still miss her very much now.

This car gave me the ability to be able to identify with Quattro owners, without feeling competitive though,or hostile.

My current plan,I decided today,is to return to Lancia for my 40th birthday.Iam currently keeping my eyes open for a Kappa Coupe. Not the prettiest cars in the world, but a bit more modern and 5 cyls or 2.0 Turbo heheeeeee

Still, the project will be a CQ.

I can relate to what your saying tbh. I love Intergrales with a passion and were it not for Audis's being my first love I would have one in the garage.

That Integrale is a fine looking car:):). Never had the pleasure to own one but who know's one day

well, put it this was, the reg was SAW352R, and my dad bought that new (so that would have been '76). He bought his next new car, a MK3 Escort Ghia and that was an X reg, and in between R and X, (6 whole years), it had started to rot badly!
My brother had it for about 18 months more but then failed abysmally on the MOT so got scrapped.

steveb 12-12-08 11:06 PM
