What was the best decade for music?
As it says on the box really!
What's you favorite era for music! Swinging 60's the Glam Rock and Disco of the 70's the Nu-Romantic 80's the Hardcore/rave or trance and house of the 90's or the rubbish manufactured pop that we had today! |
|
I couldn't pick a specific decade as there have been so many good artists/bands that cross decades, some by a few, look at elvis or abba for eg to name just 2.
Another that has been around a few decades is the king of parody "weird al" here is a couple of his newer parodie's. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsfVw9xxoNY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b08ygyDgD6Q&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lp6eswhgOKk Very funny:D:D |
got a funny feeling that a lot of us are "stuck in the 80's", not only for our music taste but also our taste in cars!!
|
I clicked 80s for the Metal! Up the Irons!!

yes late 70s and 80s and i am a old fart:)

Yyyyeeeeah, was a bit of a dead cert really, given that we own mainly 80s cars. Its in our blood me thinks!
We seem to want those days back too! I know I do! |
Most definately the seventies for me. Thats the decade I lived the majority of my teens in, hot summers, unrequeted crushes on girls, bunking school and my mates Dad's red Cortina Mk3 GLX which I coveted like mad :D:D

The music has naf all to do with the cars !!
Best music was the '70s, Hendrix, The Doors, Janis Joplin, Cream, Blind Faith,Tangerine Dream, Kraftwork,Ten Years After, Yes, Airforce, etc etc. From there I jump to the '90s, German techno, Mayday, Sven Vath, Marusha, Tanith, Westbam, Paul Elstack and on and on..... |
fantastic, is it the GLX model, twin headlamps and nice sculptured rear seats??
It has to be that one to be the perfect Mk 3 |

Got to be the 90's
Im a raver lol |
Of course there was a down side to my chosen decade. The clothes your parents bought you and the family portraits that they made you sit through :eek:
And yes if you really must know this is an actual photo of me, my brother and sisters. :(:(:( Why are parents so cruel to their kids? http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f...7/siblings.jpg AUDI COUPE GT5S RESTORATION FUND I have been quit smoking for 1 Week, 2 Days, 2 hours, 39 minutes and 16 seconds (9 days). The best era for Music was the 70's it wasn't just glam rock, their were many other genres coming to the fore. That without you would'nt have what you got in the 80's, 90's and so on. Here are a few I can think of:- Glam, Prog, folk, punk, pub and Arena Rock. New Wave and Post Punk. Disco, Funk and reggae and Country. Metal and Ska and of course Pop. Vote the 70's Vote 70's |

Not me, Most of my teen years were in the late 70's and 80's which is a period when most are listening to, influenced by the music of the period and enjoying all that being that age brings experience wise.....including plenty of embarrassing things I'd like to forget!;)
