Audi 90 2.3 10v at Upullit in Fife

A pretty clean H-reg 90 has turned up. It is recorded as a Category C insurance total loss due to damage to the rear of the car. The rear bumper has been bumped & I'm guessing the rear panel will be pushed in a little. There is no specific damage to the bumper & the panel will come out okay I'd have thought. Whilst the boot lid catches off the top bumper trim when opening & shutting, there's no damage to the boot lid or lights & to the passing eye it doesn't look damaged at all. It will most likely require a VIC test.

The front wings are rusty; the o/s/r arch at the bottom of the dog leg has a little rust.

Otherwise it's very clean & tidy indeed & has signs of having been well looked after. It looks very fresh in white, it's an SE model & has a set of aftermarket alloys shod with 205/50 R15 tyres. It does have 143k miles on the clock, but it sounds healthy, with no untoward noises & it seems to drive well.

Due to the buoyant price of scrap it's priced accordingly, but I personally wouldn't like this one to meet it's maker just yet.

bttt!

Still sitting here unloved, still starts first turn of the key, it'll be a gem with the few areas of bodywork brought up to scratch!

Now with a revised price!

Yes, it is still sitting in the sales lot. It's got an old Triumph Dolomite 1500 & an Audi 100 V6 Avant beside it for some company!

Hey Audiden, just to let you know where i am (sounds like dragons den!) really fancied this, but...........after discussions (read: barny!) wi the wife, she actually has a point about my second Audi and how it shouldnt drink as much petrol as my first! So its back to looking for an 80 Tdi!!

The other thing, altho wre not talking alot of cash here, is that dunno if its a lil pricey considering itl need minimum VIC £50, V5 £25, MOT £50, TAX £100 ? Just a thought buddy.

The VIC test includes a new V5, so you save 25 quid!

Audiden 16-06-10 07:42 PM

Wow, this thread has been slightly busy!

When you count up the potential costings, I suppose it does mount up a little, but in the grand scheme of things it's still a 'cheap' car for what you're getting. It's a nice driver too!

Unfortunately there's not 'too much' that can be done with the price as we paid a fair amount to buy it in & if we factor in the value in weight, we could probably get more crushing it... which would be criminal imo.

Hopefully :arf: somebody will see sense & come along & buy this classic piece of engineering!

Why don't you have it ?

Those wheels must be worth that on their own !!

We have 7 cars & a bike in the household so no more room for any additions I'm afraid. And I've run out of off-street parking!

With the nature of the business I'm in, I could end up buying cars on a weekly basis, so have to have my sensible head on to save giving myself grief!

The wheels are 15's so not worth an awful lot tbh, but I'm sure someone would give them a home...

Audiden 23-06-10 07:34 PM

Bttt!

Someone, somewhere must want this... an awful lot of car for the money. But the limited interest indicates this ones days may be numbered

At least I'll get some parts off it for my one, I'm desperate for a good n/s/r brake caliper at a knock down price

Audiden 12-08-10 08:20 PM

Good news folks!

I got that brake caliper that I was needing & a few other parts too... but that's another 90 never to grace UK roads again

A shame as this car was pretty clean, still bright white under the rear arches & the like. It's in the parts yard should anyone local enough need anything!
