Is it really cheap :D

nah! Too good to be "really" cheap. Got most service history and all MOT's. It's got about 88k on the clock. On bad area is tailgate around the rear window wiper and lower 2 inches of the n/s front wing and that's the lot. All the rest is pretty much like new. Blue Cloth interior, pulls like a train. Will be for sale when the van is back on the road and as the van is booked in for MOT tomorrow, it shouldn't be long! |

Know which one I'd prefer and it aint the black one..
|
I wasn't paying anywhere any of those asking prices for a project car.
I have gone back to the dark side and got an E30 instead, elipsoids as standard. :p |
Still a damn nice car though mate. What engine and spec?
|
At the moment it's a lowly 1.6i lux.
http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p4/S2Avant/E30.jpg I'm looking at options for the motor, I have an ABZ 4.2 V8 which might be going in there. |
That is a cracking colour. Just needs at least two extra cylinders to make it interesting. I ran an 87 325i Sport back in 1995 for half a year ( until I left the handbrake off in an NCP carpark in Brighton whilst on a dirty weekend ) and that was a fun car to drive, bloody thirsty but fun.

This is my last one and I still have the wheels :D
http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p...w/IMG_6203.jpg There is something about the E30 lines I can't get away from it's a classsic and the fact that the grey one was £200 :p I got offered £500 for it as it has a mint shell. It now lives in Scotland with a 2.5l engine in it The green one was just a little more expensive. ;) |
I'm pining for an Alpina C2 2.7 (is this the right place to admit it!?!?!?!):o:D:D
Been on the lookout for a while now. Found a few rough nails and I am not going through the hassle or rebuilding another BMW Straight 6 lump so it's gotta be sorted this time. |
My friend had an Alpina C2.7 touring about 15 years ago. It was white and had a very low front bib. Awesome, but the engine is cack compared to what you can get into them now.
Anyway enough about E30s unless you want to rename your site classic E30s. :p |
I meant to say in the 'dream garage' thread a week or two back that one of my must haves would be an E30 M3. I just love those boxy arches and the razor sharp lines, very 80's but gorgeous.

Update
I bought the engine, box and loom from an Alpina E36.
I got the use of a lock up for 4 weeks thrown into the deal. http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p...a/DSC00065.jpg The engine wiring on BMWs is the easiest I have ever come across with regard to engine swaps. Here is the engine with it's wiring sat on top. http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p...9062008080.jpg Removed the gattling gun that is the M40 together with it's gearbox. http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p...9062008082.jpg Few parts to find and then a few evenings work and I'll have a nice Alpina E30 2.5l 24v sleeper. It won't be going out in the wet. :p E30 wrongness :D |
mmmmmmmmm! Nice!
