Anything that raises the profile of older cars (Audis in this instance) is good news in my book.

Personally I think they should have used an Allegro in ashes to ashes.

"fire up the Allegro!"

Actually, maybe a Quattro wasnt such a bad idea.

But what pissed me off is when i approach the top guy at audi ,s international show last year in castle coombes, and i asked him about the parts siruration on all old audi but my quattro ur, he looked at me and could not answer the question but said look on internet, so i asked him why he could not support this car ie quattro ur , which give them huge success in the 1980s in the rally world, to which his pr bitch tried to get stuffy with me, so i asked him w3hy its easy to get parts for older triumphs, mimis, vw, fords etc etc etc ,again he did not answer, so my final point to him was WHY should I buy a R8 or any new audi, when in 8 years all parts will be deleted for all audis of today, he did not like my comments or the truth spoken to him at all and yes i did point out that ashes to ashes , series one had highen the demand for older audi quattro ur and coupes, but we all suffer from crap parts or lack of the supply for them. yes in the end the pr bitch did get stuffy, to which i asked her did she know what a quattro was and had she driven one to which on both answer the bitch said NO, so what can i say???????????????????????????? any commentguys

I think a lot of the people working for audi are probably new blood. Nothing wrong with that, and they prob know there jobs very well, unfortunately there 'job' revolves only around new stuff and what make the brand money.

if the woman didn't know what a quattro was, I think its a shame that the one thing that put audi on the road to success has been given such little attention by the company while training its new generations of staff. While it may not be 'relevant' to there brand's success for the future, it is how ever a big part of the company's heritage and reflects badly on there image if they have such little respect for something that made people take them seriously as a racing team & an automotive brand, without witch they would be nothing.

The quattro paved the way for every other awd car on the road, of any manufacture today, even tho it wasn't the first, it was the first to make the idea stick.

Love the show but you average punter wouldnt know the difference between a GT and a UR if it slapped them in the face!

Totally agree. I pulled up at the lights back in 95 next to an Escort Kozzy and the guy leaned across and asked me who fitted my bodykit?........To which my retort was, " I will show you"...... I gave Audrey 5 and a half on the smileometer to which he responded with similar, shouting over, "new technology mate this" (they dont sound nice those 4 pots on the redline do they!)......The lights changed and we were off.....I saw him, chin over the top of the steering wheel snatch changing and scraping the tailpipe on the ground.......as I turned left!!!!!!!..........To quote Mr May...Cock!!

To answer the thread, its great for recognition of the car, but I honestly dont think Audi give a toss. They were on media bandwagon with it in the first series and although I havent managed to catch a single episode of this one ( too busy smoking my V70 5 pot up and down the track!!) ive not seen any official follow ups from Audi this time around....Its the same old story with them and I honestly dont think it will ever change, they are in a fight with BMW and are firmly stuck trying to impress the American market with big V8s...

I did hear that the Sutton Collection has gone back to Audi and they were sending all the cars to different showrooms around the country for display??... Noty sure if thats true or not?....If it is then we should organise a mass drive to, whichever one and have a word!!..... In fact whilst A to A is still on, why not tip off the local Milton Keyne Gazzette and pole down to Audi Uk????....Now that would be good publicity!!!!
