yea Pete I think your right in saying its basically 2 4 pot 16v' ers joined at the crank.

The chap has offered a full refund if/when I return the car. Downside to that is, it will cost me £160 to get the car back down to him.
As well as the £100 it cost to get it up. So why should I be £260 out of pocket because of this.
I stated as I'd paid by card and have now lodged a complaint via the Sale of Goods act and the Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act, that he wouldn't be getting any money from the Credit Card Company anyway.

By the way, the bloke has stated he will get his mechanics to work on it and put it back on the forecourt for sale.

The heater matrix has been disconnected and has run low on water. No.2 Cylinder is very low (25psi). The previous owner it seems, presumed that the car was misfiring, so has replaced the spark plug on No.2 with a non factory one. All the other 7 are the proper ones. No.2 plug is oiled up. The oil has also got into the exhaust and into the cat's so you'd need a new cat as well (at least 1 if not both).
