a few weeks ago I was delivering medical supplies to Yorkhill Hospital in Glasgow at about 4am... bringing the cages off the truck and into the store room...en route I pass the toilets and on the gents at the back on the wall is a mirror.... on this particular cycle with 3 cages I was next to the middle one so I can move 3 at once, as I passed the gents loo I just happen to look through the cage and saw a face in the mirror:yikes::yikes: bloody hell my heart stopped dead, my body felt cold as stone and I ran like I havent done since i was a kid..... FURTHER into the stores rooom:lol::lol:
I bricked myself as I pulled myself together and told myself to get a grip....as I went past the door again the hairs on the back of my neck where bolt upright and I was pissing myself incase it was still there........ it was my own reflection and wearing a high vis vest jacket didnt help matters !!!! I looked into the mirror and gave myself another fright because I wasnt sure if someone else was on duty in the area and went to use the loo tell you what though being next to the morge I wasnt going to hang around either. The other guys have mentioned about creaks and noises there as well so I just laughed at them..... until I scared the life out of myself.:nonod::nonod::nonod::nonod: |
Bazil you little sceptic you! ;)
Im not 100% convinced in ghosts having never seen one. I have seen a curious aerial phenomenon tho about 2 years ago. A bolt of faint orange light that shot almost vertically upward out of the ground faster than you could track it- at night that was whilst cross country running. Very peculiar, i even sent the report to nasa who said theyd pass it on to their astrophysics dept. Only other odd thing that genuinely did give me the creeps was at a car dealers, Hyltons in Wolverhampton actually. The one evening, was summer and was about 6pm when we usually knocked off. One of the yts kids had a moped and as we got ready to get gone for the night he asked where his keys were as just a moment earlier theyd been on the table. Next minute theyre nowhere to be found. Now itd been a hard hot day so no one was in the mood for mucking about and in any case there was only the three of us there. We turned the tea room inside out, upside down- took all the chairs out had all the boots and overalls checked, we found n-o-t-h-i-n-g. The yts kid obviously thought we were playing him about but we wernt, and no one touched the kids keys. And then the weird event. A clink in the tea room and the keys were on one of the plastic chairs. All the more weird cos no one was in there. The hairs on my neck went right up i can tell you, moreso as id been working alone on my own car there the one night until 10pm when the cops thought i was a burglar...lol. All alone. I can honestly say hand on heart that none of us had the keys, and we wernt in the room when they reappeared, we just looked at each other funny like as if to say " You gotta taking the piss!". Although it was a bit unnerving at the time, it didnt really bother me afterwards tho, but it did happen and i still cant explain it, so ghosts? Could be. |

The current landlords bought the pub a few years ago and found a number of rooms that had been boarded up and forgotten about. In the basement they found more bricked up rooms and entrances to tunnels that go hundreds of yards under the main road outside and into the town square. I think they were orignally built so barrels could be delivered directly from a long gone local brewery. Theres a website about with pics on. Very spooky and very 28days later! *EDIT* Story and pics here... http://www.bbc.co.uk/stoke/content/a..._feature.shtml http://www.bbc.co.uk/stoke/content/i...or_470x315.jpg http://www.bbc.co.uk/stoke/content/i...de_470x315.jpg Anyone fancy a pint there sometime? :) |

unexplained lights or "orbs" are one of the more commonly reported aspects of a suspected "haunting". I experienced a few at my parents house many times!
Maybe its not a restless spirit trapped in purgatory for all eternity but they do seem to exist and there doesnt seem to be a rational explanation... Coxy, any chance of a tour of the recently discovered rooms??? |

The producer must have woke up one day with a great idea. "I know lets puts some people into an old house in the dark they are not familiar with and see what happens when we make a few noises and knock a few things about. Mass hysteria action". Why anyone ever falls for this is beyond me. You expect to see things on the show for the ratings. If nothing ever happened you would end up with Most Unhaunted which would be a damm sight more realisitc. The only thing remotely frightening about that show is Yvette Fielding's mascara :yikes: |

Cheap television! But good for advertising! Pub trade went up threefold after the show! I watched about the first 20 minutes of that show just out of interest. It was dire! The acting was crap and cringeworthy! |
