However, to the "collectors" of this world, the car's originality has been compromised, and therefore it's value. It's a difficult one to call, but I'd buy it if I had a spare £26k lying around (which, unfortunately I don't)!:( It's one of those car's that's "worth what it's worth" to whoever want's to buy it!

I tend to agree with this.
£26k is a lot of bucks for an RS2.
Cars are only original once and that kind of money is collectors money, not someone who's going to use the horses in the engine bay to its best potential.
I saw the car and had a good look over it at the Breakfast Club when Ben was 'testing' it!
It is spot on. Very well looked after and a stunning example, but I think he may struggle to get that kind of price for it.

26k is allot of coin but just spotted this beauty, 32,000 miles for £29,995!!:yikes:

Maybe the 26k RS2 is not bad value after all.:hmmm: This one is in red, for me not the best colour for an RS2

Both cars are supreme examples of the RS2. I think the car dealer needs to read this forum, for it states that their RS2 is, 'the lowest mileage example in the country'!!

£32k is a bit on the extreme side to say the least!!!! I, maybe with only 10k and carcooned all it's life!

I remember "about" 5 years ago, there was a Noggy Blue RS2 with only 20,000 miles on it on the S2 forum I think and the guy was looking for £22k then! Seems that low mileage examples are/have gone up in value???

The Dealer will at least claim that his car "original". Not, that it makes it the better car!

I know which one I would have!

fantastic, £26K and can't be driven....the point is???

I can appreciate the collectors value and for sure the world needs collectors but at the end of the day the car will just become a museum piece. Personally I prefer to buy a car that I don't mind driving so I wouldn't splash the dosh.

Unless of course I knew I could bang the car out for double it's value in 5 years but no guarantee's there.

I'd rather have Simmo's S2 Avant.........

There is a couple of rare MK1 Capris on Ebay at the moment. The first is a LHD RS2600, and as of last night was up to £17k. The second, an RS3100, was at £10K. There is also a 20K miles from new Series One Escort RS Turbo for £20K. What price would a 20K mile ur quattro fetch?
