Way better to replace the worn pins as the longer its left the worse the wear will become because the pins are hardened at the surface.
When that surface hardening has given out the lower base material will wear very rapidly as its comparatively soft in relation to the now lost hardened surface. Like others have stated, itll also impact on the locks and strikers as they get clobbered at the wrong angle/height. Swap em out, its better long term. :tup: |
So the pin replacement plan it is, are these easy come by? Dealers etc?
