Thank you gents (only just saw the replies).
I was tempted to order that Dayco hose. Just the wait and import costs from the US is off-putting. Thanks for the link. Alloy radiator really tempting, especially at that price! However, I've been in touch with Nissens to see what they say about the rad first. They provided me with a drawing of the rad (Nissens 604411). I compared their drawing with the radiator I received. Note the vertical centerline and position relative to the bottom 16mm expansion tank connection on both images. https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/2b/87/3uOBlbBO_t.png https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/c4/c5/V5UATZzd_t.jpg https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/65/8d/nH9dl3hM_t.png I have pointed out that the position of the top hose in their drawing looks approximately correct (compared with original rad) but it's not dimensioned on the drawing. It certainly appears closer to the edge, as it should be. They have checked their stock in Denmark and found they're all the same as mine. Now they're wondering if a batch has been manufactured incorrectly. It's with their designers to investigate. Be interesting to hear what they say. I'm probably causing a bunch of trouble but thought I'd ask them why mine doesn't fit. Yes, I could make it fit with another hose but I'm reluctant to. It's also extra expense. May have just bought that alloy one! Besides, Nissens claim their products are a perfect fit and also specify it fits the 90 20v. Thanks Kit - I may have to come back for that hose  |
Well done for being persistent and making them do their job!
If an item is supplied as being an OE fit then it dam well should be. That hose is here should you need it mate.;) |
