Thx for posting Jake.
To Anoraks, and enthusiasts like me, this is interesting; although they are clearly dealer plates (Ken might mention replacements from GMB...) I would say Rigby Turner is unlikely to be the original selling dealer.
CK index marks were issued through the Preston licensing office in 1987, whereas Haydock is in Merseyside. RT mainly issued the Liverpool indexes BG, LV and DJ from memory, while the big Liverpool dealer The Ian Skelly Centre, which is only a few miles away, rarely issued those indexes at all, mainly using alternative Liverpool indexes EM, KF and KA-KD.
My guess would be the car was sold used by Rigby Turner sometime up to 1995, when the phone code became 01744.
Let us know - plates have a habit of throwing up the unexpected
