the TT and TTS had 5 bearing cranks and would revvvv like crazy - and unlike much else at the time - stay in one piece.

Like I keep reminding the Golf GTi guys that 'their' engine that is fitted to the B2 80 Sport is actually an Audi developed engine that happened to be used in a Golf by the VW engineers !!
