Cheers for reply. Yes; deffo fuel in tank as I at least got some through to the main feed by metering unit this time. No sound from pump at all! My thinking was it was warm due to being seized rather than dry .

Not been back to check yet. Got a new fuel pump now, so that's next step when I get back there. It's a 60odd mile round trip for me, so don't get time to go there too often. Will post again after next visit. Cheers. G.

Well the 80q is finaly back home. It was fuel pump, which I managed to change in cramped conditions without too much hassle & no leaks! Had to cable-tie everything up as a temp measure. Even now the priming is barely perceptable before firing & could only just be heard when it had to prime from scratch. So now it's a case of getting it back on the road after 6 years. Some rot in sill ends from damp storage & looking very scabby underneath, but these 80q's so hard to get it will now take precedence over my 80 Sport resto. I'll post a few pics once I've checked it over & given it a wash off. Thanks for all suggestions & help. Got another electrical problem with my GL, but that will have to wait! :D Cheers. G.

Hi all, Any thoughts on this one?: had to lay my 80q up last year - normally starts pretty well after being laid up, but won't at all now. Was OK when put away in what turns out to be (unfortunately) damp garage :(. Seems there is a spark OK, but no smell of fuel or trace of it on plugs. Checked pump relay & it seems to be OK. Could pump have seized? No hurry for response as won't being going back to try again for a few weeks, but any advice meantime appreciated. Thanks.

Is it a 4 door??
