Is it me or do these cars all look better in the snow? Wish my company car had the grip of my a6 quattro, driving wasn t fun.

Down here in Plymouth not only do we have snow but lots of it and quite nasty accidents to boot. Lets start at 7.45 when I looked out the window and took photo 1:

then three minutes later this:

But then the fun really started as my partner and I watched in horror as an unoccupied car slid down the hill, mounted the pavement and ran over a woman. My partner being a St John's first aider attended the scene and all was going ok until another car started sliding from the top of the hill and mounted the pavement and ran over where Na (my fiance) and the injured woman were. Luckily Na had time to throw the woman over the wall and jump out the way herself. Picture three shows the red car on the pavement. Na and the woman were by the road sign behind the car!!

But this wasn't all of it. Oh no, then the ambulance arrived. See links 4 & 5:

The woman had to be taken to hospital by the police. The second ambulance (a landrover discovery) also lost control on the hill but me and four others managed to push it back up the hill with the wheels spinning.

As for Na, well she has a bruised back and concussion where she landed hard onto concrete.

One hell of a day!

where in Plymouth was this?

I was based there but doesnt trigger any locations to me.

synchronised parking by the look of it.

the hill from Eggbuckland would be good fun on a sledge though:idea:

This is just off Efford Lane on the corner with Higher Efford Lane. The parking 'looked' good but by the marines admission who was driving it he'd just come back from cold weather training in Norway. But I had to ask him why if he'd done cold weather training did he a) keep his brake fully on until just before the accident rather than steer round and b) aim for the pavement at the last moment when there were nearly a dozen people telling him to go to the right :S

It's snowing again....getting fed up now, nearly three weeks of it!
