My car has now covered 3500 miles since ADI, and all is well apart from the cluch hydraulics beginning to let go, its booked in for these at the end of the week after I've changed the blower motor which I'm planning on doing tomorrow.

Ah, still being a pain in the but then, I'm sure you'll crack it in the end! Don't know if you saw the 200 turbo on ebay being broken? I've got the number if you need it. I'm not sure but I think its closer to you than Devon!
Mine is running very well to be honest, the tickover is a bit high, I think it might be due an idle air control valve.
I got the lowering kit ordered, yeaterday actually, from a web company called ponit.com, just under 250 delivered! Thought that was good. 40mm front, and 35 on the back. I was driving back up north to uni yesterday, and thought to myself on the A1 "there is no way you're going round that at 90!". Once the kit is on, i should be able to take the casters off the door handles! I have the added dis advantage of leather seats, which means you have to hang on to the steering wheel in corners anyway! Pasengers who are not wearing seat belts beware!
Bad luck with the windows mate! Can you get it paintedwhile their out, no ugly tape lines!!
Let me know if you go and see the saint, i'm sure the're be something!
    Good luck!
Oh, just a thought, fuel accumulator? Had a mate with a capri 2.8i years ago who solved a bad running problem with an accumulator. Can't remember exactly how badly it was running though!
    Cheers

Hi Mate, how are you getting allong with the 200? Is she purring yet? I've finally got my handbreak fixed after loads of hassle with wrong parts being supplied and one of my new callipers having a fault on the mechanism internally. Nightmare, still, its on two clicks now, so impressed! I don't have to park in gear any more!!

I just noticed, your 200 turbo is a manual! I thought all 200 turbos were auto, I've never seen a manual one!! RARE BEAST!

My theory goes something like this. If it run (no matter how badly) and its not knocking its head off, there can't be that much wrong. The injection system is Bosch and even if Audi can't supply parts, bosch might be able too: Bosch dealers can supply parts from part numbers (usually cheaper than the main agents too) I use TT automotive in Loughborough for bosch parts. Just a thought. I wish I lived nearer, you know we'd be having some late night 200 sessions! Good luck mate, stick at it!

Awww, not so good mate, but I'm sure you'll get to the bottom of it. I was on a site for a london based Quattro specialists that I found from the "any old audi" group on face book, they had some 200 bits, give them a shout. That reminds me you haven't accepted my friend request! If i see any info I'll let you know its location.

Just looked over the pics, she looks alright considering she's not been used for a time. In one of the shots the OBC is crying out for fuel and the rev counter seems to be registering something. Does this mean the beast lives and the fueling problems are history?
