Hi all, quick intro to the forum. I'm Dan and I have an 87 coupe gt 2.2KV auto. low miles, was standing for 6 years until i bought it. recent work included - new head gasket, belts, coolant oils filters etc, new leads and plugs, fuel filter. whn i got the car back from the garage it ran ok but with a little misfire and stalled once you braked and reached a stop (kids faded out). on returning to the garage to show th mechanic, i refilled it and gave it some well along the main road whereby it started to splutter and eventually cut out completely. every attempt to restart worked but as soon as i put it in drive it stalled again. got it to the garage via the AA and ICV was diagnosed as stuck. new one sourced and car starts perfectly on the button and reeves freely in neutral. however as soon as you put it in drive it stalls again. mechanic cleaned out the flu tank and pump, tested pressure and refilled fuel, same issue. he i now changing the fuel filter and, failing this will start to investigate a potential blockage or rust in the injectors. so my question is as anyone experienced this and are there any obvious classic causes that we could be missing. other than that it only has 63K and one owner history. essentially a new car! any help much appreciated...
