Hi Christian, I'm looking at the photos from one of the threads and I can see my dad's old Audi 200 5T (SPL...X) ! My cousin spotted it on here and said it was now in Dublin? Is that right? Brings back some memories seeing it :-)

Hi Chris, got your message. Sorry but the old chap really wanted it so had to sell to him. I believe there is an Audi 5000 manual on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Audi-5000-5000...1%7C240%3A1318 same as I was selling - it's the one you want. Thanks, Christian

Yes, it's great - some of those engines sound a bit ropey!

It is - I gave up on the cam belt though as you can't remove it without removing the bottom pulley. Ideally you need special tool 2084 and 2079 (I have 2079 - £50 from VW). I didn't get 2084 but it's necessary as the gap is too small to get anything else in and you need 300N/m of pressure to undo the nut (You'll see what I mean if you read page 28 of the workshop manual). Anyhow it is possible with a homemade tool - check out Quattro Forum... My belt is not very old so I gave up! Let me know how you get on.

That sounds very good - not sure if I should replace my shocks as the last time I did it to an old Audi it didn't seem to make any difference. The rear shocks are available from eBay Germany - they're Bilstein and their not cheap. What's happening with your old wheels - they're in good nick aren't they?
